Summer in Scandinavia

The sun barely goes down, reason enough for a trip to Scandinavia this summer.

There's so much on offer in this area of the world from sleeping in a treehouse, cycling through the cities or getting lost in the fjords.

Stay in the city

Start with a few nights at The Bank Hotel. Make sure to spend a day around Nytorget and eat at Bar Agrikultur. Grab a coffee at Snickarbacken 7 and hire bikes to get around the city. Off ground, sail around the islands - 30,000 islands make up the Stockholm Archipelago and you can't beat a day on the water at this time of year.

Sleep in a treehouse

Choose from The Cabin, The Mirrorcube, The Bird's Nest, The Blue Cone, The UFO, The Dragonfly or The 7th Room at Treehotel. Go for a midnight-sun ride, bike or trek and unwind in the tree sauna after a day in these great outdoors.

Stay in the city

Check into Nobis Hotel for instant Scandi style. A bike is an absolute need whilst in the city - make sure to get over to Mikkeller Baghaven and the food market. The parks will be buzzing with people and activity and everywhere thrives with the effortless vibe that the Danes seem to have mastered.

Train ride to Sweden

A 40-min train ride from Copenhagen, you'll reach Malmö, Sweden. Hire a bike for the day and explore Malmö’s hippest district - Möllevången and don't miss grabbing an icecream at Malmö Saluhall, a lively waterside market.

Stay in the city

Reyjavik is a different city in Summer with people spilling out into the streets from hip restaurants and stylish bars. A visit to the Blue Lagoon is still a must at this time of year as well as hiking in the countryside, whale tours and bird watching.

Escape to a luxury farmhouse

Head North to Deplar Farm for a unique & luxurious stay in a former sheep farm. Whilst here, enjoy two activities per day, such as, hiking, clay-pigeon shooting, whale watching, horse-riding, archery, fly-fishing. After all the exertion, you'll have farm-to-table fare provided by local fishermen, farmers and brewers awaiting you at the hotel's restaurant,

Stay in the city

The Thief is perfectly located for getting around Oslo. Tjuvholmen (Thief Island) is a booming arts-and-culture district. When you're not in a local gallery or exploring the city, enjoy The Thief's top quality spa or take a refreshing dip in the sea at the Tjuvholmen beach.

Explore the Fjords

Storfjord Hotel, on the west coast of Norway, sits prettily on a hillside overlooking the fjord and Sunnmøre Alps. Hike, fish, take a private boat trip around the fjord, kayak, eat local farm food and after a day out and about, recover in the hotel's sauna whilst gazing out to the woodlands.
